You'll see up to three balance figures on an account, and it's worth knowing what each one means. Your initial balance is simply what you started with and doesn't move by itself. Your current balance only counts money that's actually settled — transactions marked completed. Your available balance is a bit more forward-looking: it also includes anything still pending, so it reflects what you've committed to even before it's fully cleared. In practice, this means recording a pending expense will dip your available balance right away, but your current balance won't move until you confirm it.
