Debt Management

Track loans, installment plans, credit-card plans and money you owe friends, with a real payment schedule, a reminder before each due date and clear progress to zero.

Every loan and installment in one schedule

A debt is an obligation paid over time: a total payable, split into a fixed number of installments, falling due weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. Choose a kind (loan, installment plan, credit-card installment, personal debt or other) and preview the whole schedule before you save.

Rasa Money splits the total payable equally, puts any rounding remainder on the final installment, and keeps month-end dates from drifting. You enter the total you will repay and it does the dividing.

In practice

Linked or tracking-only, your choice

Link a debt to an account and each installment becomes a real transaction that moves your balance, either waiting for your confirmation in the Cartable or paid automatically on Pro. Leave it unlinked and it is tracking-only: ideal for money you owe a friend, with no effect on balances.

You get a reminder before each due date, a single daily digest if anything is overdue, and a note when you have paid it off.

Reminders that respect your inbox

Choose how many days ahead to be reminded. Overdue installments across all your debts arrive as one daily digest instead of one email each.

Assign, don't double-count

Count an existing expense toward a debt from either side. Rasa Money checks that currencies match and warns before an assignment would overpay the debt.

Basic to Pro

Basic tracks debts within a cap. Pro removes the cap and adds skipping or rescheduling an installment, early payoff and auto-complete payments.

Interest is shown, not calculated

Payments are an equal split of the total you enter. An interest rate, if you add one, produces a per-installment breakdown for reference and does not change what each payment is.

FAQ

Does the interest rate change my payments?

No. Rasa Money divides the total payable equally across installments. The interest rate is informational and produces a breakdown for display.

Can I pay a debt off early?

Yes, on Pro. The payoff dialog settles the remaining balance in one step, with an optional early-settlement adjustment, and cancels the remaining installments.

What happens to payments if I delete a debt?

Payments already recorded stay as ordinary expenses with their debt link cleared, because that money really moved.

Can a debt be in a different currency from my base currency?

Yes. Each debt has one currency, and any linked account or payment must use that same currency.
