These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Rasa Money, including our web application, mobile application, API, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- Rasa Money - "Rasa Money", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the company operating the Rasa Money service.
- User - "You", "your", and "user" refer to the individual or entity that creates an account and uses the Service.
- Account - "Account" refers to the registered user profile created when you sign up for Rasa Money.
- Financial Data - "Financial Data" refers to all transaction records, account balances, budgets, categories, and related information you enter into or import into the Service.
- Subscription - "Subscription" refers to a paid plan (Pro or Family) that grants access to additional features beyond the Free plan.
- Content - "Content" refers to all data, text, files, and information you submit to or generate within the Service.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
To use Rasa Money, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a legally binding contract. By registering, you represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
- You may only create one account per individual. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or restrictions is prohibited.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
- If you register or log in using Google OAuth, you authorize Rasa Money to access your Google profile information (name, email address, profile picture) as permitted by your Google account settings and our Privacy Policy.
- You agree to keep your profile information - including your email address and country - up to date. Providing false information may result in suspension or termination of your account.
- If you provide a phone number, you consent to receiving OTP verification codes via SMS to that number. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply.
3. Service Plans and Subscriptions
Rasa Money offers three plan tiers: Free, Pro, and Family. Each plan is subject to the feature limits and pricing displayed at the time of subscription.
- The Free plan provides limited access to core features including up to 3 accounts, up to 2 currencies, 2 active budgets, and 30 days of transaction history. Free plan limits may change with reasonable notice.
- The Pro plan provides unlimited accounts, unlimited currencies, live exchange rate sync, historical rate snapshots, unlimited recurring budgets, CSV/XLSX import, advanced analytics, and priority support.
- The Family plan includes everything in the Pro plan plus support for up to 6 members, shared budgets and categories, per-member visibility controls, a household dashboard, and consolidated reports.
- Paid subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase. Annual billing is charged as a single payment covering 12 months.
- We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
- Where a free trial is offered, it will be clearly indicated at the time of signup. After the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to the paid plan unless you cancel before the trial concludes. We will send a reminder email 3 days before your trial ends.
- Users who joined during the Early Access period and were offered a locked-in pricing commitment will retain that pricing for as long as their account remains in good standing and their subscription remains active without lapse.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Rasa Money only for lawful personal or household financial management purposes. The following uses are expressly prohibited:
- Using the Service to track, manage, or facilitate any illegal financial activity, including money laundering, tax evasion, or fraud.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the Service.
- Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk data extraction from the Service without our express written consent.
- Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity or security of the Service or the data of other users.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially redistributing access to the Service without our express written permission.
- Using the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.
- On the Family plan, you may only invite real individuals who have consented to share financial data with the group. You may not use the Family plan for commercial or business purposes.
5. Your Financial Data
Rasa Money is a personal finance management tool. You retain full ownership of all Financial Data you enter into the Service.
- All transaction records, account information, budgets, categories, and other Financial Data you create or import remains yours. We do not claim any ownership over your Financial Data.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all Financial Data you enter. Rasa Money does not verify, validate, or provide financial advice based on your data. The Service is a tracking and organizational tool, not a financial advisory service.
- Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your financial situation.
- You may export all of your Financial Data at any time from your account settings. Exports are provided as a downloadable archive. This right is available on all plans, including the Free plan.
- When you use the CSV or XLSX import feature, you are responsible for ensuring that the data you import is accurate and that you have the right to import it. Rasa Money processes imported data according to the column mapping you configure and the validation rules of the import wizard.
- You may reset your Financial Data (deleting all accounts, transactions, budgets, and categories) at any time from your account settings. This action is irreversible. Your identity record and account settings are preserved after a reset.
- Exchange rate data displayed in the Service is sourced from a third-party provider and is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of exchange rate data. Rates are cached daily and may not reflect real-time market conditions.
6. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion is a multi-step process requiring password re-verification and explicit typed confirmation.
- Upon deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and you will be logged out of all sessions. Your email address and phone number are obfuscated to allow you to register a new account in the future if you choose.
- Following account deletion, your Financial Data is retained in our systems for a limited period as required by our internal backup and security processes, after which it is permanently deleted. We do not use your Financial Data for any purpose after your account is deleted.
- If your account was linked to Google OAuth, the link is severed upon account deletion. You will not be able to use that Google account to access Rasa Money unless you create a new account.
- Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You should cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid future charges. Contact us if you require assistance.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Rasa Money name, logo, application design, software code, and all related intellectual property are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and display your Financial Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when your account is deleted.
- If you submit feedback, suggestions, or feature requests about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
8. Third-Party Services
- Rasa Money integrates with Google OAuth for authentication. Your use of Google sign-in is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Exchange rate data is sourced from a third-party provider (ExchangeRate-API). We are not responsible for inaccuracies, delays, or unavailability of this data.
- Rasa Money does not connect directly to your bank accounts, financial institutions, or payment processors. All data entry is manual or via file import. We are not a bank, payment processor, or regulated financial institution.
- The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on data displayed in the Service. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your Financial Data and for all financial decisions you make.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, or government actions.
10. Termination
- You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless doing so would cause harm or is prohibited by law.
- Upon termination, your right to access the Service immediately ceases. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination - including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability - will continue to apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable under local law.
