Completed simply means it happened and is fully counted everywhere — your balance, your budgets, your reports. Pending means you've recorded it but haven't confirmed it yet; it'll show up as part of your available balance right away, but won't touch your current balance until you confirm it. Scheduled is for something dated in the future that hasn't happened yet, so it won't affect your balance at all until that day arrives. Canceled and Failed simply mean nothing happened, and Refund is a special entry the app creates automatically when you reverse a completed transaction.
