In Settings → General, you can set your base currency and how amounts should be displayed (these become adjustable once you're using more than one currency, or once you're on the Pro plan). You can also choose your country, your timezone, and how you'd like dates formatted — including building your own custom format if none of the presets quite fit. If your finances run on a schedule other than the calendar month — say, you're paid on the 25th — set your fiscal month start day so "this month" throughout the app lines up with your own routine. Round it out with your preferred language and theme (light, dark, or let it follow your system).
