What Rasa AI is
Rasa AI is a finance assistant grounded in the ledger you built in Rasa Money. You will find it as a chat, as a quick summary on your dashboard, and as a helper when you import transactions.
Because it reads your accounts, categories, budgets, and activity, you can ask specific questions — not only generic tips — and get answers that refer to your actual numbers and structure.
Think of it as an interface to your own bookkeeping, not as a third-party advisor with outside market accounts. The quality of answers tracks the quality and completeness of the ledger you maintain.
Rasa AI is included with Pro (and trial access where offered). On Basic, focus on manual entry and the rest of the help center until you upgrade for assistant features.
What it can help with
Ask how a budget is doing, what an account balance means in context, or how to set something up. You can also describe a change in plain language — for example adding a recurring payment — and review a draft card before anything is saved.
During import, optional AI categorization suggests categories from description text. Across all of these surfaces, confirmation stays with you for anything that would create or change records.
Good first questions sound like: which budget is closest to its limit, what did I spend in a category last month, or help me draft a recurring rent payment. Vague prompts get vague help; concrete prompts get actionable cards or numbers.
Hard limits on purpose
Rasa AI cannot see your bank, cannot log in anywhere on your behalf, and cannot move money. It only works with what you have already entered (or are importing from a file you uploaded).
It also will not silently save drafts forever — if you leave a proposed action unconfirmed, you may need to ask again after it expires. That is intentional: the ledger only changes when you agree.
If you need bank aggregation, Rasa Money is the wrong product by design. AI will not bypass that boundary. Likewise, investment advice, legal advice, and topics outside your ledger are out of scope — see the dedicated boundaries guide.
