Draft, then confirm
You can describe what you want in ordinary language — for example, “Add a $40 monthly Netflix subscription” — and Rasa AI will figure out the details and show a card summarizing exactly what it is about to create.
Nothing actually happens until you click Confirm. Use that pause to check amount, schedule, account, category, and any other fields on the card. If something is wrong, adjust via follow-up or cancel and ask again with clearer details.
The confirm gate is the same philosophy as import review: machines propose, you dispose. If a card proposes a category or account you do not like, fix it before confirming so you do not train yourself to “clean up later” and forget.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of anything confirmed. Treat the card like a form the assistant filled in for you — faster than typing, same duty of care before it hits the ledger.
Timing and expiry
If you do not confirm within about an hour, the draft expires and you will need to ask again. That keeps stale proposals from hanging around and applying later when your accounts or intent may have changed.
Confirmed actions become normal records in the app — the same recurring payments, transactions, or other items you could have created manually — so you can edit them afterward like anything else.
If you are interrupted mid-setup, do not assume the draft will wait indefinitely. Re-ask with the same details when you return; a fresh card is safer than an hour-old proposal tied to balances that may have changed.
Good prompts
Include the amount, currency when it matters, cadence (monthly, weekly), account hints, and start timing. The more concrete the request, the less back-and-forth you need before the summary card looks right.
For questions that should not change data — “How much did I spend on groceries last month?” — ask normally; you will get an answer instead of a create card.
Examples that work well: “Create a monthly 120 EUR rent expense on my Deutsche Bank account starting the 1st,” or “Add a weekly grocery budget of 80 USD for the Groceries category.” Ambiguous currency or account names are the usual reason a card needs a second pass.
