On the extras step, map an optional Tags column if your CSV or Excel export already carries labels (for example `trip; client` or comma-separated names). Existing tags match case-insensitively; names that do not exist yet show a “create N new tags” notice and are created only when you confirm the import — in the same step that creates the transactions.
On the review screen you can apply tags to every selected row, edit chips per row, and accept history-based suggestions. Suggestions never write themselves; you stay in control until confirm.
Basic can still run the import wizard — tag columns from the file are skipped with a notice. For day-to-day tagging after import, see Using transaction tags under Tags.
