What the review step looks for

On Pro, the review screen checks your file for payments that repeat — a streaming subscription, rent, a gym — and marks the rows with a recurring icon. Nothing is removed or merged: every row stays in your import.

There are four ways a row can be recurring. It can match a recurring series you already have; it can be one of several lookalike rows in the file (same description, similar amount, a regular gap); you can mark any row yourself as a new series; or Rasa Money can suggest a row based on its category, note or description.

What you can do

Click a suggestion to accept it, or use Accept all in the banner. Select rows and choose Make recurring to create a new series from them (you pick the name, the cycle and whether future payments start as pending or completed), or Add to existing recurring to attach them to a series you have. A small repeat icon on a single row does the same for that row.

Edited rows or changed your mind? Re-run recurring detection looks at the current rows again and keeps the choices you already made. Transfers cannot be recurring, so they are skipped.

What happens when you confirm

Your rows are created as normal transactions and linked to their series. A new series is created from the most recent row, so it carries on after the history you imported, and the earlier rows stay attached as past payments. Rows linked to an existing series become instances of it.

If a series already generated a pending payment for the same period, the review shows a warning on that row so you can decide whether the imported row duplicates it. Matching them up automatically is planned but not available yet.

Good to know

Recurring detection needs the recurring transactions feature on your plan. Without it the import still works and rows are simply one-time transactions.

Detection is a suggestion, not a rule. If the amount or the gap between payments varies a lot, Rasa Money may not offer a series — use Make recurring to define it yourself. For managing a series afterwards, see Pausing, resuming or wrapping up a subscription.
