Exchange Rate Tools

Real mid-market rates, stored per day and permanent once written. Convert on the fly, transfer between currencies with a clear effective rate, and always know whether a figure is settled or estimated.

Rates you can trust, and labels that say what they are

Rasa Money uses mid-market rates from a single central provider: not bank rates, and not per user. Each calendar day's rates are fetched once and stored, and past days never expire, which is why historical figures do not move.

A currency exchange calculator on your dashboard converts any amount between currencies at today's rate. The top bar shows when rates were last updated, with a refresh whenever you want one.

In practice

Every converted figure says what it is

Past-dated amounts read as converted at the rate on that date. Today's read as at the current rate. Future-dated ones use today's rate as an estimate, badged Estimated rate, and are reconverted at the real rate when the date arrives, with the account balance corrected and a notification if the amount changed.

Transferring between currencies? Rasa Money fetches the pair rate, lets you flip its direction, shows the effective rate from what you actually entered, and lets you type the received amount yourself if you prefer.

Cross-currency transfers

The received amount is suggested from the live rate and recalculated until you edit it. For a future transfer, lock the amount or let it auto-update on the transaction date.

Honest about banks

Mid-market rates will not match your bank's spread. For recurring foreign-currency billing, edit past charges to match your statement.

Plan-aware

The currency calculator lives on your dashboard. Working across several currencies needs a plan with a higher currency cap, so see pricing for the limits.

FAQ

Where do the exchange rates come from?

A single central provider of mid-market rates, not bank rates. Each day's rates are stored once and reused.

Do rates change for past transactions?

No. Past days' rates never expire, so historical conversions stay stable.

Why did the amount on a future transaction change?

Future-dated records use today's rate as an estimate. When the date arrives the real rate is applied, the balance is corrected, and you are notified if the amount changed.

Can I hold cryptocurrency?

Yes, in crypto wallet accounts, and conversion works as usual. Your base currency for totals must be a fiat currency.
